Hi there! Welcome to my wee corner of creativity.

A cozy workspace featuring a wooden desk with a desktop monitor displaying 'Launching Soon' on the screen, a tablet open to a design app, a keyboard and mouse, a coffee mug with colorful polka dots, a cup of pens labeled 'España,' and a potted plant. A window with sheer curtains lets in natural light.

If you had told me a few years ago that taking pictures on the sidelines of my kids’ matches would lead me to graphic design, I would have laughed and said, “Me? A designer? No way.” But here I am, doing something that makes me happy every single day combining my love for photography and design. Let me tell you how it all started.

It all started capturing life’s moments with a camera, my kids playing soccer, Gaelic matches, a family reunion, or a walk in the forest. I knew I had to freeze those moments in time. Photography became my way of preserving memories and telling stories without words.

My life was busy (three kids and a million things to juggle), but photography became my escape. It was not just about taking pictures; it was about freezing the energy, the joy, and even the chaos of those moments that mattered most.

As time went on, I had my camera with me everywhere I went. I found myself volunteering to photograph matches and community events. Before I knew it, I became the unofficial photographer for my community. People started recognizing me as the one with the camera, ready to capture every win, every smile, every moment.

One of the projects that stands out is the ‘One Good Club’ initiative. It all started when the world was upside down because of COVID. People were struggling to stay connected. This project was about creating awareness for mental health and finding ways to bring people together, even when we had to stay apart.

Before working on the ‘One Good Club’ initiative, I had completed a course in Adobe Photoshop. It gave me the foundation to create designs for this initiative. At the time, I thought they were great, but looking back now, I see how basic they were.

By the time the project was finished, I started feeling like something was missing. I wanted to push myself further. Photoshop just wasn’t enough anymore. That’s when I knew I needed to expand my skills. I decided to take a course on Illustrator, followed by one on InDesign, and it completely opened up new creative possibilities. It was amazing to finally bring my ideas to life in ways I never thought possible before.

A turning point came with the “Shine in Emo” event. In 2022, I created a few posts here and there to promote local businesses. But by 2023, after studying and diving deeper into design, I took charge of the whole campaign. It was a proud moment, seeing everything come together, from visuals to a campaign that brought the community closer. That project made me realize just how much I had grown.

So, here I am, this blog is my next step, where I will share my journey with you. The lessons I have learned, the projects that have shaped me, and even some tips for anyone out there looking to tell their own stories through photography and design.

I do not have all the answers, but I do know one thing: I love creating, connecting, and growing. And I hope you will stick around as I explore this creative road. Together, we will see what amazing things we can build.

Thanks for being here, feel free to leave a comment, share your thoughts or say hi, I would love to hear from you.
